I borrowed my buddies X100 for a day to see if it was something I would like to use on our travels around Asia and these were the photos from this fun little camera.
While visiting Tucson, AZ over our Christmas break Cassie and I took a trip down to Mexico, along the way we stopped at the very lovely Tumacacori Mission south of Tucson. If your ever in the area I highly recommend visiting this site. It’s an historic Spanish Mission preserved in its present form.
Before Halloween was upon us a quick trip to Issaquah's Jubilee Farm was in order. We rounded up a few lovely pumpkins and paid a premium for our hard work. Later that night we carved these pumpkins into a batch of the scariest pumpkins I have ever seen.
For this session I traveled down to Tacoma to meet the very sweet and funny Melia. We had a blast walking around Point Defiance Park taking photos and getting to know each other. Not only does Melia have a lot of naturally curly hair she also had a lot of energy, smiling and laughing the whole time we were together. I wish her the best during her college experience and I am confident that she will do great things afterwards.
I'm going to start off by saying that Hood to Coast is one heck of a long run, 200 miles long! Yep, you read that right. The run starts off at Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood, the tallest peak in Oregon. Then it makes its way through Portland and out to the finish line in Seaside Oregon along the coast. It's long that's for sure, but then again you just can't pack this much fun into a 5k. I won't go into all the details in this post about the run but this movie about the run will pretty much give you a great breakdown of the event.
We started off at about 6:30am and finished up around 3pm the next day. My van of 6 runners (there were 2 vans) I'm pretty sure had the worst legs. We ran mid day, middle of the night and mid day again. While van one usually got ideal running hours. But I'm not one to complain too much so I'll let that be. Our teams name was My Pace or Yours but we were mostly known by Team America. Every runner had to wear their red white and blue bandana while running.
Much appreciation goes out to all my team mates for kicking butt. I speak for all of us when I say we had a blast winning Hood to Coast.
(We didn't win technically)
